Genealogy - largest U.S. immigration

If you look at the 1990 United States Census, we see the country of origin of some of the new generation of Americans and the year of immigration to the United States of America. These millions of you who are the pilgrims landed at Plymouth in 1620 or earlier are not descended further migration in the 1900 Census Immigration Dates for your ancestors live in the nineteenth century, are of such an early entry in the New World. One of my ancestors was a contractServants and 35 of the Covenant Signatory Mayflower. After solving the loan agreement, he returned to England twice to business surveys in Plymouth Colony.

Some think that the servants were slaves. They were not. My ancestors could not afford to pay for passage on the Mayflower, so he decided on his move for a period of several years of work after arrival in the New World, he did.

We all know that the Pilgrims and Puritans came to America to practice their religions andGreater financial independence. These brave souls were willing to risk their lives to reach this target and many were traveling.

The Great Migration

After the Emancipation Proclamation, slaves, blacks want to get out of the slave states to the northern and western United States. However, there was little movement until early 1900. In 1900, the rise of the black population was enslaved were only 2% more than it was in 1863 for a total of 10%. But it was not an immigration countryin the New World. It's called the Great Migration.

It may be noted that the birth was made for a 85-year-old citizens in 1900 in the census of 1805 would be too if I have to index the 1900 census so thatQuickly search by the computer, I only have one person of this old record.

What follows is a brief summary:

Native Americans

Physical and DNA suggests that the majority of Indians came to America via the land bridge from Asia thousands of years before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. There were about 900,000 people speak over 300 languages, when the pilgrims stumbled to the ground.

English, Scottish, Irish

These were some of the early immigrants to America. Financial difficulties often led toLanding of the British Isles. Many had little money and came as slaves. This group included many well-educated and competent. Some came for religious freedom. The Irish famine of the mid-nineteenth century led many in this country. When I view the census of 1900, I find many of these families. A family who lives just two of eleven children, two were born and live in the United States. The other nine may have died in the famine.

German

Findmany Germans in the 1900 census, especially in the Dakota. They were in Jamestown. The Germans were industrious and skilled.

Scandinavian

Scandinavian rich came to America early in order to develop trade. They were not the first Scandinavian to come to America. The Scandinavians the first time many years before Columbus. They were the Vikings, who came from the seventh century.

Many Scandinavians came to America in the nineteenth century because of political unrest andbecause they wanted religious freedom.

Italian

Well, you know who started all this. Christopher Columbus sailed the blue and the Americans landed in in 1492 was born in Genoa in 1451 Italian immigrants arrived in America, before Italy was a united nation. They love the Irish and the Germans rather than flock together. I'm glad you came because I love Italian food. By the way, is not it-tal-ion battery, no eye-tal-ion battery. Remember that Italians are not to be eh-tal-yEye-tal-y.

Asian

How did blacks, Asians have difficulty in the United States. For example, if the people here in Idaho in Twin not like the Chinese, and ran out of town. They were two brothers from the city, which had opened a restaurant. I just came back and started again. I'm glad they did because I love Chinese food.

When I go to a Chinese restaurant, I usually find many who do not speak English. I'm not talking about Mexican immigrants, who oftenfrequent Chinese restaurants, I am the Chinese people who constantly come to the U.S. to speak.

The first non-Japanese until the end of the nineteenth century to come, after Admiral Perry "opened" in Japan. The former were agricultural workers in Hawaii. During World War II, many Japanese for the duration of the war were buried. I was always afraid that my friend, Teruo Fujii, would be buried, but he escaped that fate.

The old Japanese, pickup use of coalalong the rail line to leave suddenly. The voice was that he was counting the tanks and trucks and guns, the growing output from the trains to the Pacific coast. Some children said they had a low band radio (shortwave) had.

Chinese workers are durable and built our railways. Many here in our part of Idaho working old mines along the Snake River dug themselves a living.

Cuba, Puerto Rico, etc.

This immigration is still ongoing. Cubans findthemselves "cut off" from the United States and Puerto Ricans are in the appendix. Come to them with any means that can muster, Puerto Ricans and Cubans from Jet boats and homemade rafts. Florida and New York all benefit from this migration, although not all seem to agree on this point.

Russian, Polish, Hebrew

Political and economic upheavals have pushed these people to America from many different routes. Some are involved in the day taxi strike in New York. This migration will continue.

Mexican

They were here when the Mayflower dropped anchor. The Mormon migration in the mid-nineteenth century were in Mexican territory. These people are still to come and cut my lawn every Saturday morning. Some get a false Puerto Rican birth certificate and other papers, to avoid problems with immigration. Oh, yes! I'm the man and the dairy farmers here in Idaho.

It's amazing what you learn about the human experience of historicalRecords. For example, the census of 1900 revealed during the Civil War. I often wonder if a particular child "not to live" was killed in this war.

Some think that the study of ancient documents is fun. Well, it is certainly instructive.
